I would love to have a video area with an iPad, green screen, lighting, microphone, etc., and use it to visually place students into "history". I already have space available in my classroom. This would allow students the opportunity to participate in different virtual activities. To physically be placed into the historical topic that we are discussing. History lends itself perfectly with this technology and learning culture.
Students can be on a civil war battlefield, in the room of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, or on a ship discovering new worlds. Furthermore, I could use this equipment to create virtual videos for pandemic impacted days. I feel this would tremendously influence the students as they would see themselves as a "part" of history and not "apart" from history.
