Our students are 4 and 5 years old. For most of the students, this is their first time in a school setting and for some their first time away from home. They are eager to learn and, at this point in their school experience, they are loving school. My job is to teach them as much as possible while still making it fun and enjoyable for them. I like to challenge them to learn. They not only learn their alphabet and numbers 1 to 20 but also sight words, addition, subtraction, and how to write a sentence. Our school is set up in pods, which allows us to use an even bigger area when needed. I have taught pre-k for 10 years and I'm still loving every minute of it. My students remind me each day how fun it is to learn new ideas and skills.
