Having the set of iPads will allow for great technology in my classroom. One way they will be used is in centers. Students can use the iPads to participate in Math, Reading or Science centers. They could also use them to interact with the Smart Board and work in small groups. Students could also collaborate on group findings by sharing through the cloud. I could download apps for various math, reading and science centers which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students.
Coming from low income households, and being a Title I school, the iPads would bridge the gap in learning for our students. We are living in a digital age and the more I can integrate technology into the curriculum and have the students command that technology, the better.
Our classrooms do not have enough technology to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap and help our students make those gains that we need to see.
