By utilizing music and movement throughout our day, my scholars will be very engaged in the learning process. They will most likely remember what we've learned if it is taught using movement and music; they will then associate their love of music with the knowledge they will gain in class.
My scholars will fall in love with learning to the tune of their favorite song. When transitioning from one activity to the next, the students will have the sound of music to signal them to move on to the next item on our daily agenda. The timer will help them manage their time and keep our transitions tight with minimal loss of instructional time. The speakers will be used to bolster the volume on our Smart Board so that viewing video clips whole group are more engaging. The stereo will be used to create a calming, peaceful environment, like when students are testing.
The headphones will be used when students are completing assignments on their Chromebooks in class; that way when students are previewing a video or audio clip, they are not disturbing one another. The bright, colorful storage bins will be used for each student to house their collection of leveled readers during our independent reading time. At that time, students may relax in our classroom library, lying comfortably on the comfy throw pillows. All of the supplies will be used creatively to join my scholar's love for music and movement with their new love: learning!
