I am an ESE specialist at a public EXCEPTIONAL CENTER school. Our amazing staff is committed to closing the achievement gap between low-income students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities. We often rely on supplemental funding to help us meet the needs of our at-risk; low-income students. Teachers often go out of their way to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, & ; significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education & ; reach, at minimum, proficiency on challenging state alternate assessments. I am confident that with an increase in equipment to enhance modern techniques for improving curriculum &; instructional activities, our same struggling students will achieve more.
