As our school expands our ESL support, our enrollment continues to grow. Having a room that is student-friendly and organized helps to establish clear routines, which helps all children thrive.
We need a better way to organize technology. My students are routinely using the tech station to rotate through reading and math programs and the jumbled cords lead to mess and confusion. We are constantly untangling the keyboard and mice. Often they get mixed up with neighboring computers and I need to find a more efficient way to keep it tidy.
Caddies will help us define space for materials. Book bins will direct ELL children to appropriate books in their level. The classroom library is expanding and as I level the books by readability and genre, we need the bins to keep it friendly.
The school theme for 2019-2020 is Superheroes. The art template will allow the students to create their own, fun and unique superhero to use as I display their work throughout the year.
