My name is Destiney Gullion and I will be entering my second year as an 8th grade ELA teacher. I teach in a low income area. My students access to technology is very limited. Most students on have access to computers one day a week if the assigned computer cart is available and working. Most weeks the computer cart has multiple computers not working and many students miss out on their technology time. We do a lot of project based learning and it is very hard to do so with limited technology use. Many of my students are reading SEVERAL grade levels behind. technology can act as a tool for re-mediating some of these struggles.
