Coming into my second year of teaching, I have a vision for the things that my classroom needs in order to become a more warm and stimulating environment for my students. With teaching First Grade, there is such a wide variety of learners that enter the room each day.
My goal is to create a vibrant classroom that allows students to move and explore their space. The resistance bands will go around students' chair legs to allow our feet-wigglers to get some energy out. The brain flakes and magnetic panels will allow students to build and flex their creative STEAM muscles. The color-coded paper organizer will serve as mailboxes for student's daily assignments and papers to go home. And of course, we can never go wrong on stocking up on crayons, pencils, and glue sticks.
I want my students to return to school next year and be excited every time they walk through the door.
