Welcome! After ten years at Thomas Johnson Middle, Mr. Gilliard has taken over the instrumental music program at DuVal High School, following some of his current students to high school and reuniting with a large number of former students. Great musical things will happen at DuVal, just as they did at Thomas Johnson. The standard is still superior, not simply 'good enough'. We've proven that this year with the a superior rating in sight-reading for both band and orchestra, the establishing of a second concert band, jazz band and a marching band. The "Tigers of Jazz" have had great performance opportunities this year for school officials and local politicians. The plan for superior achievement at DuVal is in full swing. Contribute to our projects and help us reach these goals yearly.

About my class
