At Wooddale Middle School, I strive to create spaces where students can grow, lead, and shine—both in the classroom and on the court. In my Writers & Readers Bureau (WRB) classroom, students step into the role of “agents,” investigating texts, unlocking the power of words, and producing writing that reflects their voices. The WRB is built on discipline, teamwork, and critical thinking—skills that prepare students for real-world success.
That same spirit carries over to our Wooddale Volleyball Team, where student-athletes learn the value of perseverance, leadership, and unity. Wearing our school colors of red, navy, and blue, the Eagles play with pride while building confidence, character, and school spirit. Whether they are cracking open a novel or serving for match point, my students are reminded daily that success comes from preparation, hard work, and believing in themselves.
