I am an elementary Science/ STEAM teacher for grades K,1,2, and 5. Most of my students are bilingual and / or special needs. They are all hard working children who wish to succeed. Our school is in a low income community and receives title 1 funding. Our school budget is small and doesn't allot for extras like science materials and equipment. I believe students learn best through exploration and creating. All of my units are created around real world problems for the students to solve by using the engineering design process. It is very rewarding to see these young minds light up when they realize, "I got it!"
