Our students are coming from many cultures and they are learning to participate and work together in teams for a variety of cooperative games. Many of them are learning about sports for the first time and learning how to work as a team is an important skill.
Identifying which kids are on which teams helps them learn how to work together, colors make that easy!
We need these pinnies so that the students can easily identify their teammates so they can play quickly and cooperatively. As we start our soccer unit this spring, the students will divide into teams and having colors makes it easier for our students who are still learning English. Having the ability to quickly spot their teammates will give them success which we hope will encourage them to participate in additional sports.
