My scientists live in a city but are curious and inspired about the natural world. They appreciate nature and wonder about how the world works. We use our community park as often as possible and love to conduct simulations. We are an extremely diverse bunch, with students from all over the world and numerous perspectives to share. In our school, 6th grade is the first grade of middle school and the students switch between two content teachers. They mature a great deal throughout 6th grade and are always excited about having a science class every day - which is not the case in the lower grades. They are passionate about protecting the environment and wondering about climate change. I take my lead from their passions and give them knowledge about how ecosystems function so that they can take intelligent action to help our planet.
