We are a 3A school in a high-poverty area of Kansas, and in the past, the band program dwindled to numbers as low as 8. However, in the past decade we have grown to over 100 students in our program! In fact, our largest band this year is nearly 50 students strong. This is such an exciting time for us! The students in our band program are a diverse and enthusiastic group of people. We have all types of personalities and skills--football stars, homecoming royalty, class presidents, honor roll students, mentors, foreign language students, and everything in between--but they all share a love of instrumental music.
