We are looking to implement flexible seating in the classroom. What is flexible seating you ask? Good question! Have you ever seen a child that is able to learn successfully for six straight hours while seated in a chair on their bottom at a desk with perfect posture? No? Neither have we! Flexible seating offers a variety of seating options/work stations in the classroom from kneeling, to wiggle stools, air (wiggle) cushions, bean bag chairs, backless stools, and even standing desks. Students learn better when they are comfortable in their environment and have the flexibility to work in a position that feels natural to them. Students find it easier to focus on the task at hand when they are not having to focus on how or where they are sitting.
