AVID 2 students collaborate with one another to create a theme, skit, and decorations to celebrate their love for their teachers. They also bring homemade meals. Giving AVID 2 students these requested materials will allow them to show their teachers that they can collaborate and create something from scratch as a group. The paint will allow them to create poster and pictures for decoration. The mason jars will be used (and re-used) for centerpieces. The flags will go in the center pieces and be given away as party favors. The petals will be used for decoration for the Dia De Los Muertos set up and the steamers will also be used for decoration in the Student Union. I am only here to guide the students. Each group has their own committee leader to help them decide where they are going and students get to grade one another on their performance and participation. The luncheon is a great way to get students to motivate one another to participate.
