Our world is heavily dependent upon technology. In the educational setting, technology is a passageway to deepening understanding and reinforcing crucial skills. Learning to be tech-savvy is important and having these laptops will help my first graders learn this fundamental skill. Incorporating STEM and using technology to problem solve will help my first graders become scientists, engineers, readers and mathematicians. With being a newly developed STEM program this year we are in need of technology. We are restrained on STEM activities and projects because of our lack of quality technology devices. These laptops would be used daily by all students. They would allow my class to explore, while providing unique learning opportunities! My students and I would like to thank you for your consideration!
