My students are the most struggling readers in the primary grades. They are eager, energetic learners. They shine when they are praised for successfully applying reading strategies and they are always ready to learn more.
Almost all of my students are English Language Learners and come from low income households. They lack books and basic school supplies at home and most have very little experience with books outside of school.
