Recently it was confirmed that we will not be returning to school in person. My first initial feeling was sadness due to the fact of just how much we love learning together.
I asked myself, what more I could do to help my students have the same level of success virtually, while also bringing the same level of excitement that we had in our classroom? After reflecting on my three months of virtual teaching, I have researched and learned about new programs and strategies to increase the level of engagement with my students. I am excited once again about teaching and challenging myself to find new ways to be effective, so that my students can have the same level of mastery virtually as they would in the classroom.
Many of the programs that I would like to use for the students are not supported by my current laptop. Due to not knowing how long this pandemic will last, I would like to build a solid technological framework for my classroom that allows my students and I to seamlessly move back and forth from virtual to face-to-face. Once we do return to the classroom, the students would use the laptop daily for a variety of things (testing, listening to reading, etc.)
Thank you so much for your consideration!
