Our students reside in an urban environment. We provide a safe environment for our students to eat, learn, and grow. Our students range in abilities. We offer over 20 advanced placement courses and offer a medical program facilitated at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. We also offer tutoring after school and provide remediation daily. Our student body consists of 65% African American, Asian, or Latino students. Our classes serve students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning disabilities. Our special education teachers are placed in classrooms to provide assistance to the students in need. We also serve a large percentage of military families due to our proximity to the Norfolk Naval Base.
