My students represent a broad spectrum of learners: economic status, academic performance, interest and access to technology. One thing they do share is the initiative and a persistence to find out more about what captures their interest. Many of them may own cellphones but that fact does not translate to access to educational sites. A number of them still do not have access to a computer at home. In our science classroom, we would have liked to do more experiments. This is one way to get them interested and involved in their learning. They do like carrying out experiments. This project is a way to encourage that search of learning in my students. If for some reason, they can't perform the experiments in class, the next best thing is to perform simulated experiments hosted on some websites. I imagine they will be so involved as there will be audiovisual inputs to their activities.
