I am asking for help in purchasing an iPad Pro 9.7, a tripod, camera type cover for the iPad, microphone, video lighting, and lenses to enhance the video production in my 7th and 8th grade science classes. My plan is to also use this equipment to produce informational videos for all students and patrons in the district. Videos and related materials are essential to reach as many of today's students as possible and a invaluable tool in the 5E model of science instruction. This equipment will allow me to produce videos to use in my classes to help with the Engagement of the students, their Exploration of the material, the Explanation of processes, any Elaboration of ideas, as well as the possible Evaluation of their learning. In addition to the teacher directed material the possible use of the equipment by the students for projects will expand their abilities and creativity is class.
