My music classroom comes alive when students step foot inside of it. We sing, play, create, improvise, explore, learn, grow, and aspire to become more tuneful and musical scholars in a 21st century world. I don't expect perfection and my students know this, but my students rise to my expectations of grit, perseverance and determination as I encourage them to become their most musical selves. Music is a universal language and I believe it is a super subject since it teaches reading, math, science, social-emotional skills, teamwork, self-reflection and so much more. I did not have elementary music growing up and missed out on such a fun opportunity, so it is my goal to give my students the most educational experience in music possible. I have made it my passion to make my music room what it is today, and I have Donors Choose to thank in large part to that.
