I sincerely believe every student deserves to have the same opportunities in science regardless of the available resources. I teach 10th grade Biology and 12th grade AP Biology at a small charter-like school in an urban school district in Maryland. My school is a Replications, Inc. school that was based on Dr. Lorraine Monroe's belief that providing a nurturing and structured learning environment can overcome difficult or challenging home lives of many urban students.
