Our school is a therapeutic day school for students ages 14 to 22. We service students who experience challenges such as poverty, violence, hunger, and mobility. Such factors greatly impact their learning process as well as their ability to engage in the classroom. Our school provides a safe and consistent environment along with both educational and clinical supports.
Our students are most responsive when information is presented in multiple modalities, a framework known as Universal Design for Learning. We would like to harness their great interest in technology to build motivation for academic growth. Increased accessibility and use of technology will allow for skill building, mastery, and achievement throughout high school. It will also allow our students to gain competitive advantage in post-secondary opportunities and in the world of work.
