I previously taught second grade but I am now the Librarian for 3rd and 4th grade in Alabama. We are a Title I school with over 900 students with 52% Hispanic. Library Enhancement money has been non-existent until the last few years so books, technology, etc. purchases have been very slim. Our school system has a very high Free Lunch Count and families that are truly struggling. This makes it hard for parents to help out with extra supplies and activities for our classrooms. Times are hard and any help would be greatly appreciated.
