These books will help my children be able to actively enjoy reading! Having books available that interest them makes them want to read rather than be forced to read!
This is especially great considering many of my students are low level readers and the more reading they do, the better they become at it. Additionally, since most are from low income homes this gives them a greater access to books that they wouldn't otherwise have. And they can even borrow books to take them home to read, if they like.
I have personally added hundreds of dollars in books to my class library already this year and I feel such joy anytime a student asks to borrow a book. It makes all the time, effort, and money worthwhile.
