I teach some amazing students! Our classroom is a special education life skills classroom with students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. My students are extremely friendly and love to learn new things. The students require materials to be adapted for them to be successful within the classroom.
Although these students are faced with different challenges, they work really hard to learn and to be the best they can be.
We have some real characters in the room and frequently are treated to concerts and dance-offs during the school day.
As a class, we work on learning skills that will help the students become successful adults. The students work on job readiness skills, social skills, and functional skills such as reading and using money.
