The rocks and minwax gloss coating will create math and interactive games in the garden space. As well as an art project where the students will paint the rocks into different garden bugs. A few examples of the games are tic-tac-toe, math arrays and bar graphs.
With the soil, seeds and tools the students will be able to grow and data collect in the greenhouse. We will then plant them in our edible school yard. The students will learn to harvest and make their own salsa. This creates and hands-on learning experience for the students.
The steps and work that the students will take away from this project will build their confidence and problem solving skills. Creating a pathway to a brighter future for healthy living, eating and how their food comes to be.
