Due to COVID-19 my students will be unable to use communal manipulatives in the classroom that are essential to their learning. I am planning on making each student their own set of manipulative that they can learn with and keep to support their math learning well outside of my classroom. These hands-on tools help them to visualize and learn in a way technology cannot provide.
Using manipulatives has been essential to their success and they should not be deprived from that learning experience. I want to make sure that these students get the math education they need to pursue higher education.
