My students are a diverse group in a large urban public school that range from students shooting for an ivy league college to students who will be the first in their family to attend college. All students are challenged to achieve at a high level and scaffolding and support is provided to any students who struggle. Given the diversity of students that want to take advanced classes but may need extra help, the possibilities of technology are especially promising for helping meet their needs. I focus the class on turning students into "junior historians" rather than on the rote memorization of facts, so we complete many project-based learning projects and utilize inquiry in the classroom extensively. I am a member of ATPE.
