My Kindergarteners and First Graders were recently introduced to the world of coding by participating in Hour of Code. They were so engaged and loved every second! Since then, they request coding activities on a daily basis. Although we have iPad apps that allow them to dabble in coding, I want to provide them with something that will be more hands-on and concrete.
Ozobots are small robots that provide students with various coding challenges. The students use markers to draw lines with different colors on paper. The Ozobot moves according to the color codes the students use. This would really allow my students to watch their code come to life! Exploring Ozobots will help my students develop their critical thinking skills while collaborating in an engaging activity.
