Although I do not know all of my students yet, I do know that they face so many struggles and challenges that I don't even know about yet! I joined the AUSL network for my first year which basically is a network of Chicago schools that are being "turned around". These schools are in some of the most challenging neighborhoods in Chicago and require drastic changes in order to improve student achievement. Unfortunately, a very large portion of our students are experiencing homelessness and lack the stability that many of us were fortunate to have growing up. While this is quite a large task to take on as a first year teacher, I am ready for the challenge and would appreciate any help that I can get through ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.org!
About my class
