I teach in a school that is in a middle class suburb. My students come in each day excited to learn. They are fairly technologically literate and enjoy using technology such as a Smart Board and laptops (mostly for playing both academic and non academic games). As state assessments move to an online format it is important for my students to be able to do more than gaming! With only 3 older laptops in the classroom, access is limited.
Students are communicate what they have learned n writing. Each year I have children who struggle with weak small motor skills and are frustrated because they know what they want to write
but are unable to get it down on paper. Tablets would help me meet their needs both academic and emotional.
