I teach at an amazing elementary school located in a rural community. It houses PreK through 5th grade. It is a Title 1 school with 68% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. The staff at at my school creates an environment of community where every individual is important and valued. I teach in a 1st grade classroom with 20 students. I also lead an after school GEMS Club for girls in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.
