My third grade students are thinkers, inquirers, and communicators. They question the world around them and like to discuss and share with each other. My students are a part of the International Baccalaureate Program, where they learn how to be internationally minded students. Part of being internationally minded means they have to learn how to be open minded and good communicators. The topics in the articles in the Storyworks magazines can lead my students to the type of discussion they need to continue to develop the skills they need to be open minded, thinkers, and good communicators.
