I am a Deaf Education teacher, working currently with grades TK-5! Throughout my career or as I would call it "passion," I have taught everything from TK-college! Each grade level has helped me grow as a teacher and quickly learn that your students are only having as much fun as the teacher and I like to have fun.
Being in such a specific area of teaching, that is Deaf Education. I have to specifically focus on keeping up with technolgy. The various hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing aids and all the additional personal systems that attach to the various aids to give each individual around a 10 dB increase in sound! It's all quite interesting. In addition, I am learning new "words," that is "ASL signs" daily to not only improve my vocabulary but the vocabulary of my students. I mean it's not everyday you "sign" the words "partial quotient."
The items I selected will help me produce materials & fun crafts from home (as that is where I'm teaching from), then pack them up and get them delivered to my students' doorstep in a contact-less manner; so that we can continue to have fun while learing all through a "screen."
Thanks for taking the time to read a bit about us!
