Ours is a small, alternative public school started by parents and teachers in the 1970s interested in creating a child-centered environment. We are teacher-run, though we do have a principal, and we prioritize collaboration with our families and community, always keeping equity at the center of our concerns.
Our students are diverse, racially/ethnically, linguistically, and socioeconomically speaking, but they are consistently creative and brilliant.
