I teach in a classroom for Kindergarten students with Autism. I have four students in my class that fall on different points in the Autism spectrum. Some are verbal, some can not speak. Some are working on basic addition, others are working on matching pictures. They are all different but they have one common need, a need to be understood. They each have the potential to learn, but they need specific, individualized instruction that is catered towards their specific learning style.
