The Think Pad and earphones will help make our classroom and computer lab more accessible to students so that they can use computers to facilitate individual learning. Students in my class get individualized lessons that they are able to do on classroom and computer lab computers. This technology will give them the ability to be more independent in their learning. While the teacher is giving small group lessons, other students are doing computer-based learning in math, science, and reading. Based on data from those lessons, students then come to small groups for differentiated lessons. I like to call this "flipping the classroom within the classroom."
