My students need a rug for sitting on during whole group math instruction! My students are currently sitting on placemats on the floor during whole group math instruction. These "sit-upons," as we call them, are often a distraction from learning as students play with them or move them around. They are also a tripping hazard if left on the floor, so precious learning time has to be spent putting them away after each lesson.
By donating to this project, you will help students have their own defined area to learn and grow in math. They will each have their own space to engage in the lesson. This will allow them to focus more and not be distracted by their environment.
