These supplies will greatly help my classroom and the students in it! I use whiteboards daily to check for understanding. It is extremely beneficial to monitor learning as it is happening, especially for first graders, because they can easily fall behind. Whiteboards are an easy-to-use manipulative that can be used throughout each day for every subject! I especially like to use them as Exit Tickets after a lesson to see if each student understood what was taught to them or whether they need reteaching. It is a quick and effective way to see which students need more help in a specific area.
I think it is so important to provide materials that will help them both in the virtual classroom and in-person, once we return to school. I plan on using all of the supplies during my virtual teaching with my students in my classroom. I know that having a daily schedule chart on display will help my students learn time management and what is expected of them for the day. I can utilize the magnetic base ten blocks to display on the whiteboard as I'm teaching virtually and the jumbo dice will help to create an exciting and random number generator for our math lessons.
Whether it is for engaging a math lesson or helping with mobile teaching, my students and I will greatly benefit from any help we can get on this project!
