I teach reading and writing resource (special education) students from kindergarten through sixth grade. We are a small Title 1 neighborhood school where over 90% of students receive free or reduced lunch. I meet with small groups of students throughout the day to help them improve reading and writing skills. This is my first year teaching resource and I have spent the summer trying to create a comfortable, inviting space my students look forward to coming to.
