Students will meet Erin Gruwell who was the teacher of the original Freedom Writers in addition to an actual Freedom Writer. This experience will provide my students with the opportunity to ask meaningful questions to people who were actual there when the book was taking place. Students will be able to put faces to names and voices to diary entries by conversing with Ms G and the Freedom Writers! We have been incredibly moved by the experiences the Freedom Writers endured and have gained a greater appreciation for the things we often take for granted. Thank you for helping make our novel dreams come true, literally!

About my class
