Our school is a rural poverty stricken school with majority free lunch status. We have a large population of ELL learners and most students come from homes whose parents have a limited education. This year, my class is overcrowded at twenty-three. The cap in Alabama is seventeen for third grade. We have had to double up to read our classroom set of books. My books are worn out and I need new ones!
