I teach second and third grade students who have Autism, Speech and Language Disorders and Multiple Disabilities.
We are in a specialized district that focuses on students with these various disabilities. I teach 12 students daily for every period. Because of sensory and attention needs, these students need to be highly engaged, so interactive activities and structured routines benefit them tremendously. It's so important for this population to have consistency.
