Have you ever been in a first grade classroom? If you are lucky enough to have spent some time with first graders, then you know that they all are eager to learn! They want to know everything! My students are no exception. This is true despite being in an inner city school in Minnesota. More than three quarters of our student population qualify for free or price-reduced meals. Having said that, we try to beat the odds! If first graders are given a great foundation early in their educational career, the more likely that they will succeed? Don't you think so? Make a difference in little people's lives! You'll be glad you did!
