All of my students are intelligent, curious, and eager to learn. They come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. However, because of their economic circumstances, they cannot access the kinds of instructional technological devices that enhance learning. Most of my students do not have computers, and for those few that do, Internet access is unaffordable. The public library in their community has a limited number of computers, at home many of are in disrepair, and those that are not are in constant use. Although our school recently installed a state-of-the-art Wifi network, our outdated classroom computers are not Wifi enabled, and cannot meet the system requirements of the most basic instructional programs.
