My students or as I call them, "my babies" are infants and toddlers from 16 months to 3 years of age living in the inner city community in Maryland. With the assistance of dedicated parents and a special educator, we teach the children to communicate effectively in the home and school environment. Our classroom is divided into multiple learning centers from gross motor, fine motor/table work, imagination center, circle area, book area and schedule area. Language stimulation is the most important piece of our classroom and language is stimulated in each one of these areas with the use of books, toys, gross motor/fine motor equipment and manipulative's.
