I am expecting 18 eager, inquisitive kindergarten students to join me in my classroom. The children come from rural and village homes, and from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Regardless of the variety of experiences, personalities, strengths and needs that the children bring with them, they nevertheless come together each year to form their own unique classroom community. My goal as my students' first formal teacher is to provide experiences that feed their curiosity, challenging them to grow beyond expectations and to have them feel confident as learners.
